About Us
At Cherryville Elementary School, we serve children in pre-kindergarten through third grade. After that, students go to W.B. Beam Intermediate School for fourth and fifth grade. We work closely with Beam Intermediate to help all students feel like part of the Cherryville community. The two schools often plan fun events together.
Our students enjoy hands-on learning in our Innovation Station each week. They build with LEGOs, design robots and take part in STEM activities that help them learn by doing.
We have small class sizes with fewer than 18 students, so teachers can give each child more one-on-one time. Our teachers have a lot of experience. Many have been teaching for more than 20 years, and some for more than 30 years. We also offer extra help during the school day for reading and math.
All students take theater class and are introduced to music and performing. We want students to explore the arts and grow their creativity.
We are proud to be a community school. Our students go on walking field trips, visit the local library and take special trips to places like Rotary Park and Papa’s Pizza. We also work with the Cherryville Police Department and Cherryville Fire Department to teach students about helping others and giving back.
At Cherryville Elementary, students learn, grow and feel supported. It’s a great place to start school and be part of something special.
